Our knowledgeable field manager has over 30 years of experience and manages 65 acres of lush tropical agricultural lands.

Queen palms are native to several South America countries.

Their cold hardiness is an ideal fit for landscaping projects in Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Bonita Springs and Naples.

Often, landscaping professionals and homeowners incorporate Queen palms into a landscape when their vision requires a mature look. Royal Palms and Foxtail Palms offer a mature look as well. All three are spectacular and worthy of consideration.

Popular Applications:

  1. Focal point in an island feature
  2. Groupings of 3 or more at varied heights
  3. Architectural accent
  4. Provide shade to under plantings
  5. Create visual levels as a design element
  6. Lining a street or driveway

Landscape architects incorporate three or more levels into their designs. 18’ OA Queen palms are a great starting point that will define the levels needed for a dynamic aesthetic. Queens can grow up to 40′ OA.

Queen palms have dark green fronds that are long, lush and graceful. The trunk is smooth with lighter leaf scars.

They’re moderate to fast growing palms.

A consistent schedule of fertilization is important, as these palms are heavy feeders. Also, steady irrigation year round is necessary to maintain their beauty and consistent growth.

Queen palms are not self-cleaning and it may take long periods of time for them to fall from the canopy on their own. We suggest removing dead fronds every 6-10 weeks if you wish to maintain the consistent beauty of your Queen palms.
